1. Common Noun
பொதுவான பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் பொதுவான ஒரு நபரையோ, இடத்தையோ, பொருளையோ பொதுப்படையாகக் குறிப்பிடும் போது அந்தப் பெயர்ச்சொல்லை பொதுவான பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் Common Noun ஆகும்.
Common nouns are words that refer to general, everyday things or people. They are not specific to a particular person, place, or thing.

2.Proper Noun
சரியான பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் மக்கள், இடங்கள், பொருட்கள் அல்லது விலங்குகளுக்கு வழங்கப்படும் குறிப்பிட்ட தனிப்பெயர் பெயர்கள்
Proper Noun சரியான பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் எனப்படும்.
Proper nouns are specific names given to people, places, things, or animals. They are always capitalized.
Examples :
இடங்கள்: London, Usa , California , Coimbatore
மனிதர்கள்: Abi , Anitha , Ranjith .
3. Collective Noun
ஒரு தொகுப்பையோ அல்லது அனேக நபர்கள் கொண்ட ஒரு கூட்டத்தையோ கட்டிக்காட்டும் ஒருமை பெயர்ச்சொல்லுக்கு Collective Noun என்று பெயர்
A group of people, animals, or things refer Collective nouns.
Examples :
Bunch of Keys – சாவிகளின் கொத்து
Crowd of People – மக்கள் கூட்டம்
4. Abstract Noun
சுருக்கமான பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் என்பது தொடவோ அல்லது பார்க்கவோ முடியாத கருத்துக்கள்,குணங்கள் அல்லது நிலைமைகளைக் குறிக்கும்
பெயர்ச்சொற்கள்.மனிதர்களுடைய எல்லா பண்புகளும் இதில் அடங்கும்.
Abstract nouns are nouns that represent ideas, qualities, or conditions that cannot be touched or seen. They are often intangible concepts.
Examples :
Love – அன்பு / காதல்
Honesty – நேர்மை
Happiness – மகிழ்ச்சி

5. Countable Noun
எண்ணிக்கையால் எண்ணி கணக்கிடக்கூடிய சொற்கள் ஆகும். அதாவது ஒன்று, இரண்டு, மூன்று என எண்ணி கணக்கிடக்கூடிய சொற்கள் எல்லாம் எண்ணக்கூடிய பெயர்ச்சொல்.
Countable words are countable words. That is, all countable nouns are countable words that can be counted as one, two, or three.

Book – புத்தகம்

6. Uncountable Noun
எண்ணிக்கையால் எண்ணி கணக்கிட முடியாதச் சொற்கள் எல்லாமே “கணக்கிடாமுடியாப் பெயர்சொற்கள்” ஆகும்.கணக்கிட முடியாத பெயர்ச்சொற்கள் கணக்கிட முடியாத பெயர்ச்சொற்கள்.அவை தனிப்பட்ட அலகுகளாகக் கருதாமல், ஒட்டுமொத்தமாகக் கருதப்படும் பொருள்கள்,குணங்கள் அல்லது கருத்துகளைக் குறிக்கின்றன.

7. Concrete Noun
கண்களால் பார்க்கவும், கைகளால் தொடவும் கூடியவற்றை “திடப் பெயர்சொற்கள்”Concrete Noun ஆகும்

8. Compound Noun
இரண்டு அல்லது அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட சொற்களை இணைத்து உருவாக்கப்பட்ட பெயர்ச்சொற்கள். அவை ஒற்றைச் சொற்களாகவோ,
ஹைபனேட்டட் சொற்களாகவோ அல்லது தனிச் சொற்களாகவோ எழுதப்படலாம்.
